Norton Folgate is a close knit group of young, vibrant and motivated professionals all seeking to enhance their role within the profession and develop their own expertise in the process. We feel that the skills base of Norton Folgate is based upon the interpersonal skills that are expected from each team member, but also on the high level of training that each member has undergone in both academic and employment related experience.The ethnic diversity and background of the team has enabled us to forge a close link with the local community that exists in East London. Our staff members are able to converse in a number of ethnic languages, including Urdu, Punjabi, Gujerati, Bengali and Pashto. We are also able to provide expert interpreting and translation services in Albanian, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic and Spanish.

Daud Farooq LL.B., LL.M., MA
Daud has substantial experience with Commercial Property, Public International Law, commercial litigation, and Mergers & Aquisitions, in particular developments and discussion and negotiation of complex legal documentation. He has gained extensive experience in Company Law and has been involved with acquisitions and disposals of high profile companies.
Daud completed his LLM from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and specialised in Human Rights Law.
In addition to commercial property work Daud has extensive Immigration law experience. Outside of work Daud is a keen photographer.
Iram Farooq BA Hons, Pgdl, LPC
Iram Farooq has a keen interest in Immigration, Family and Child Law. She read History and Development studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) where she undertook research into Human Rights issues of the subcontinent and has worked with womens’ organisations in South Asia.
To assist her research she worked with women in prison and orphanages in the subcontinent. With her interest in family and child issues, she is now currently working in the Immigration department of the firm building on her active interest in researching issues pertaining to immigrants and refugees in the United Kingdom.
Iram successfully ran her own business, specialising in providing services to the NHS, and decided to pursue a career in law by completing the CPE and LPC at the London Metropolitan University.
In her spare time Iram has a keen interest in art and calligraphy and enjoys gardening. She actively works for humanity relief charities and is special events organiser for the firms activities. She enjoys running and hiking, and is a keen traveller.

Richard Britton CILEx
Richard Britton is an experienced Chartered Legal Executive and Accredited Police Station Adviser. He has strong analytical and organisational skills with an ability to express complex information in a clear and understandable manner. He deals with all clients in a non-judgmental, considerate manner and always strives to protect their best interests.
Teuta Canolli LL.B.
Having graduated from the University of Prishtina/Faculty of Law with a Bachelor's degree in law, she specializes in immigration law at our firm. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of immigration-related matters, from entry clearance applications for spouses/fiancées to settlement applications, visa extensions, naturalization as a British citizen, and Judicial Review applications. Additionally, she manages Skilled Worker visa applications and oversees Sponsorship Licence applications for various companies.
In addition to her immigration law focus, she also handles Civil Litigation matters, drafting civil claims with precision and expertise. She has completed the Judicial Review in Immigration Cases course with distinction and is currently pursuing further legal qualifications through the SQE program.
Fluent in both English and Albanian, she brings a multicultural perspective to her work. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, and maintaining an active lifestyle through exercise, particularly at the gym.
